You can still buy a BRAND NEW Chevron B16, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . How awesome is that!? New dream car me thinks. I mean just look at the thing!

Kinja'd!!!

And then there is the way it sounds.

The dark green(or maybe it is black) one has the inline 4 usually used. The white Martini livery one has a rotary :D

Why can't every inline 4 sound this good!

I was about to call you out saying that it doesn't look like a rotary.. but that's because they're two different white Chevrons.

Second vid is the Cosworth FVC, for those wondering.

Yes, I quickly edited this, as to explain it is the Martini livery one!

That was one of 2 engines the car used. Some cars had a BMW 2.0l!

there's heaps of on boards with the BMW but can't seem to find any exterior videos of them running. Sounds pretty damn good from the inside though.

When were these raced? What motors did they originally have?

I think the Cosworth engine sounds better, but I have only heard the Cosworth one in real life. Some of the Lolas used BMW 2L as well, which also sounded amazing.

The link to Chevron's site has a lot of information! I would click that. Explains a lot it even has a spec sheet.

I've seen some of the Lolas, though it was at the same time as I saw some McLaren M8C's and other Canam monsters so you can bet which one was louder than the other.

If that fails there is always the LS. A V8 NEEDS to go into one of these.

I am going to guess the Mclarens. Big Blocks tend to be loud! Although, the Lolas aren't quiet by any means. I remember at Indy, the Mclaren M6A and the Lolas had about similar volume.

I saw one with 7.9ish liter Chevy V8! I talked to one of the mechanics about it!

Very interesting. I wish I would have budget to become a gentleman racer with this kind of thing. I wonder what a rolling chassis might cost...

Replica 962 would another option as almost perfect replica is available and building a correct Porsche engine wouldn't be totally impossible or expensive (as it would be with a 917 replica). Slack Motorsport has removed the price for their rolling chassis 962 but I remember that it was around $65,000.
